AXIALSCAN RD-14 was developed for efficient machining of large workpieces. It combines the advantages of MINISCAN III's high dynamics and dynamic prefocus. Unlike solutions using F-Theta lenses, the laser is focused in front of the scanning mirror, making full use of the deflection angle. This means that larger machining areas can be achieved and even large parts can be machined using a single scanner. This brings great convenience to the user and avoids the time-consuming process of splicing multiple processing areas together.
AXIALSCAN RD-14 is the ideal solution for all applications requiring large format and high dynamics. It is therefore particularly suitable for additive manufacturing or for cutting and marking printed circuit boards (PCBs).
The dynamic prefocus function can also handle non-planar structures without the need for additional optical lenses. This means that AXIALSCAN RD-14 can be used both for layer-by-layer machining (2.5D) and for complete 3D machining.
The very compact design of the AXIALSCAN RD-14 and its multiple mounting options are almost identical to our FOCUSSHIFTER RD-14. Therefore, it can also be flexibly integrated into laser systems, allowing integrators to easily select the best solution for their laser applications.
